Finding decent looking plus size clothing on a budget is not always easy. I have visited Torrid’s store locations several times over the years and never bought anything. I remember going in, looking for an outfit to wear to some event, and end up walking out empty-handed because the prices were way too much for me!
Honestly didn’t feel like the quality of the clothes were even worth what they were asking.
In 2019, I changed my mind about Torrid when I was looking for plus size overalls to wear to a 90s concert. Their clearance section came up on my Google search page and not only did I find a good fit I found a good price!

Chain Front Tank
I chose this blouse because of the color and detail of the chain. I needed more coral in my closet so I’m happy with my decision to choose this piece. For only $13.99 I can feel cute and casual at the same time.
Floral Blouse
In keeping with the color scheme, I chose this floral number with lace detail at the bottom. This one was only $14.99 at the time I bought it which I believed was a more than fair price.
Plus Size Cardigan
Who doesn’t love a good cardigan? For $16.99 this one does what it needs to do.
Plus Size Polka Dot Skirt
I love this skirt because it has pockets, flares out for a nice twirl, and looks good with sneakers or heels. This clearance deal was only $13.19, and it added a timeless look that was missing from my current wardrobe.
Plus Size Faux Leather Leggings
I believe these leggings were made to be an alternative to the ones made by Spanx.
I have a strange feeling the quality is better with Spanx, but these will do the trick for now seeing that I only paid $13.99 for them.
Ribbed Turtleneck Tank
This accent to my wardrobe comes in handy for wearing under a blazer or cardigan. The high neck gives me a classic yet professional look to wear during Zoom calls. At $11.49 this was the most budget-friendly item in my order.
Paper Bag Waist Pants
These paper bag waist pants got added to my cart because, I needed a new pair of black pants, and I like how the high waist looks on my frame. At a price of $20.99 these pants were the most expensive item in my order and in my opinion, they are worth it.
Plus Size Side Zip Leggings
Last but not least my absolute new favorite are these leggings with a zipper on the side. I wear these at least once a week and I only paid $15.99.
Plus size clothing can be expensive, but with a good eye for a bargain you can come out on top. I always feel good when I get a boatload of stuff for way less than the regular price, it feels like an accomplishment for me.
